The Comedy Works Bristol (located inside Georgine’s Restaurant, 1320 Newport Rd., Bristol, Pa) presents a Special weekend of Comedy on Friday, December 8 and Saturday December 9, 2023. The show starts at 8 PM. The show will headline The Reverend Bob Levy (from the Howard Stern Show) and special guest Jeremy Scott Campbell with a special guest Comedian.
Bob Levy started doing Stand-up Comedy in 1990 and was given the nickname, “The Reverend”, by Howard Stern Show writer Jackie Martling. The nickname stuck because it was the opposite of his personality, he was very funny and often fifthy onstage.
By 2001, Levy had appeared on “Comedy's Dirtiest Dozen”, performed at “Woodstock '94”, and had opened for the “Edgar Winter Group” and “Bachman Turner Overdrive”.
In 2002, Levy entered himself in the World's Meanest Listener contest held on “The Howard Stern Show” which helped his exposure as a Comedy. He submitted clips of himself roasting Stern and the staff which were well received and made him a top three finalist. In 2004, he was one of the contestants on “Get John's Job” contest. He was one of the hosts of “The Killers of Comedy Tour”, a comedy tour featuring several of the Howard Stern Show's guests and staffers. When the show moved to SiriusXM in 2006, Levy was the host of the show's series of live comedy roasts.
Levy went on to co-host of the weekly comedy show “Miserable Men” on SiriusXM Radio.
Levy has never stopped doing LIVE-Stand-up Comedy and appears at clubs up and down the East Coast along with producing podcasts of his shows for Radio Misfits.
Jeremy Scott Campbell is our special guest Comedian who is currently based in South Carolina and tours all over the country as a Country singer.
Jeremy grew up in Bucks County graduating from Council Rock High School in 1994. After graduation he enlisted in the Marine Corp and when his tour of service was complete he left to pursue his dream career as a Country singer performing with some of the best Country groups. Some of the people he has opened for is Chris Young, Lee Brice and Josh Thompson.
Along the way Jeremy became good friends with the late Louie Anderson who got Jeremy interested in doing Comedy since he had so many stories to tell. Jeremy will have you laughing talking about his life as a Country singer, the people he has met and the different parts of the USA where he has lived and performed.
Also on the show is a special guest Host and MC.
You never know who is going to show up to do a guest set and work out new material. The Comedy Works Bristol is the perfect place for Stand-up Comedy with over 40 years of history in the Philadelphia area.
